With E3 2016 just beginning, Square-Enix treated fans this morning to a brand new trailer featuring brand new cutscenes and gameplay from Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD Final Chapter Prologue! The trailer showcases details on all three games included in the Playstation 4 bundle, Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD, Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep ~A Fragmentary Passage~, and Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover. The most notable entries in the bundle are definitely Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep ~A Fragmentary Passage~, which continues the story of Aqua's adventures in the Realm of Darkness, and Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover, a cinematic retelling of the important events from Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ. Both games feature the new updated graphics based on the Unreal Engine 4 that is being used in the development of Kingdom Hearts III.
Speaking of Kingdom Hearts III, the very end of the trailer above features a brief message on the development of one of the most anticipated upcoming games in Square's roster. After unveiling the December 2016 release window for Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD Final Chapter Prologue, a quick message flashes, revealing that new information regarding Kingdom Hearts III will be released this upcoming winter, most likely around the same time as the release of Kingdom Hearts 2.8. Could this new information be revealed at Jump Festa 2016, or could this be the unveiling of a new Kingdom Hearts fan event where news will be released? Only time will tell, but we'll wait with great enthusiasm and anticipation!
